USA update

I'm back in USA, (pronounced oosah) and having a great time with my family and friends. Hiking has been a top priority and I've been busy having as much fun as possible. I had to say goodbye to a great group of friends and I really miss my students. When I arrived in California I was blessed to see my sister and some of her friends. Soon after I bought a car and the adventures quickly ensued. Not having enough chaos in my life, I found a dog to rescue. Phoenix is a real joy and a great addition to the family. I will take him with me to Korea in August when I go back. Currently I'm spending time with my family in Michigan and catching up on time away. God has blessed me beyond measure and I'm grateful for everyone he has put in my life, (this means you). I feel as though I'm living a dream and I sincerely hope you are being blessed too! If you want to hang out sometime give me a call (951) 202-5148. Cheers

B-day Smash

So I completely forgot to post pics and say happy birthday to myself on this blog...It's been awhile since I've posted anything. The sad truth behind that is I've been working a lot more this semester and I find even less time than I had before for leisure (blog) activities. That isn't to say I'm not still REALLY enjoying my time here. I'm finding new parts and facets of Korean life that I enjoy every much! During the fall season here I've managed to hike a bit, try some new foods (bone marrow soup, and octopus stew), and I'm planning a trip to Vietnam for Christmas. More pictures to come and funny stories about Korean people

Life so far

April 7th 2008

As far as things go I'm now back in Korea and enjoying teaching English. A new semester starts at the end of this month and I will have new classes and new students. Its a joy to teach and I hope my students feel its a joy to learn... at least I hope they enjoy it. The weather here is quite warm and humid but the sun is shining most days of the week. I feel very blessed to be here, I get to enjoy a beautiful culture, amazing locations, and captivating people. Most of my time is spent either at school or with friends. I've developed the habit of going to noraebongs (singing rooms) to which I enjoy immensely. Also, I spend a lot of time alone in parks or my apartment. this is something new for me and took some getting used to but I think I'm managing. I actually enjoy the quiet of slowly walking through the crowded sidewalks of Olympic Park.

This is a great time of year, summer always brings feeling of childhood freedom, walking through the woods or going on an adventure.

I have to go to work now but I think adventures await.

I miss you all,

Josh
